Gilead Evangelical Theological Seminary (GETS) was established in 2004 to train and equip men and women of God to strengthen the local churches and plant churches where a church is not yet established. They are to speak out for God like Elijah, the man of God from Gilead. Pumza’s prayer and utmost desire is to fulfill God’s commission in and through the students of GETS.
The seminary started with 7 students and has increased to 47 students in 2008 from seven states of India, Bangladesh, Burma and China. GETS offers both Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) and Master of Divinity (M.Div). 16 graduated with Bachelor of Theology and some of them became missionaries and some have furthered their studies in Master of Divinity.
“The sole aim of the training program is to mold the students to become potential leaders and ministers of the word of God. The classes are managed by well qualified, experienced and committed teachers whose scholarly contribution is an inspiration to the students. In the present context persecution and threat the Christians can not give up their mission. In obedience to the Great Commission of our Lord, the training must be carried out, that only will transform the present situation. Depending on the promises of God and by the empowering of the Holy spirit, we hope GETS can go further heights in theological training and education in the days ahead!”
Rev. Joy M. George, GETS Faculty
“We thank the good God for those who have had labored with the Founder in building the Seminary to this stage, but the best is yet to come. The Faculty and Staff are making every wise effort that we do not left any stone unturned. I have been teaching in many Bible Colleges. But I found GETS to be distinct and unique. GETS is unique and vital because the Founder and his colleagues emphasizes the importance of Academic Excellence and Spiritual Vibrancy. We are bless each day watching the students growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus.”
